About the Coalition

The victim’s voice is a powerful and necessary force driving change and reform in the criminal justice system. For years, individual victims and survivors have used that voice to advocate for the improved use of DNA technology to solve and prevent crime.

NCJA’s DNA Center Coalition brings those voices together to achieve two goals. Our first goal is to amplify, augment, and support each member’s individual messaging and to identify opportunities for agreement, support, and collaboration. Secondly, recognizing that there are times when speaking with one voice on an issue can lead to an impact that is “greater than the sum of its parts,” we seek to leverage the impact of that combined voice. The Coalition will work to increase connectivity between and among these issues to identify resources and opportunities that, when taken together, can maximize the impact of this work, in individual states or at the federal level.
