Act relating to community safety, cited as 'The Safe Communities Act.' Sections 7 and 8 expanded the definition of 'designated crime' in Vermont's DNA statute to include all felonies and attempted felonies, dramatically broadening the collection mandate; the act also added 13 V.S.A. § 2638 (voyeurism) and other public-safety provisions. Effective June 28, 2005. Cited as the controlling amendment in State v. Martin, 2008 VT 53.
