VA: An Act Transferring DNA Analysis Duties to the Division of Forensic Science (HB 1550, Ch. 33, 1993)

Amended and reenacted §§ 19.2-188.1 and 19.2-310.2 of the Code of Virginia, substituting the Division of Forensic Science for the Division of Consolidated Laboratories as the agency that performs DNA analysis of samples taken from convicted felons and that stores and maintains the resulting identification profiles in the DNA data bank, with a conforming change to testimony regarding field tests of controlled substances.
