Interim Agency Policy, Directive, or Guidance
DOJ policy on forensic genetic genealogy, binding on Department components and reaching state, local and tribal agencies through conditions in DOJ grant awards. Requires CODIS and all other reasonable investigative techniques to be exhausted first, bars arrest based solely on a genealogy-service genetic association, and treats FGG profiles and genealogy account data as confidential government information.
