Adds 9 V.S.A. ch. 61A (Genetic Information Privacy Act, §§ 2421a-2421d) requiring direct-to-consumer genetic testing companies to publish plain-language privacy notices and obtain separate express consent for each collection, use, storage, transfer, and marketing use of a consumer's genetic data or sample, with revocation and sample destruction honored within 30 days; prohibits disclosure to insurers or employers and bars disclosure to a government entity without a probable-cause search warrant or the consumer's express consent, and mandates data security, access/deletion rights, and anti-discrimination protections enforceable by the Attorney General. H.639, No. 135 (2026). Effective July 1, 2026.
