Washington State Patrol rules adopted under RCW 43.43.759 to implement RCW 43.43.752-.758. Establishes procedures for operating the DNA identification system, defines 'biological sample' as a buccal swab using a WSP-provided kit (or a finger-stick bloodstain where a buccal swab cannot be obtained), provides for retention until expungement, and prohibits use of DNA identification data for any research or other purpose not related to a criminal investigation, identification of human remains or missing persons, or improving the system.
