Six sections plus a Forms part cover definitions; law-enforcement requests to learn whether an individual's profile is in the data bank, made through the department's online form and subject to identity verification; requests by an accused or their attorney under Va. Code 9.1-1104; out-of-state requests routed between CODIS administrators; provision of data bank information to Corrections, State Police and Juvenile Justice by secure electronic exchange; and department employee access.
