Reorganized the Division of Criminal Investigations and Technical Services within the Department of Public Safety, reorganizing and creating bureaus, assigning duties and responsibilities, and providing definitions — including provisions on the analysis of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), antigen antibodies, and polymorphic enzymes performed by the state forensic laboratory. 1998 General Session; sponsor Rep.
