SC: State DNA Database (S.C. Code Regs. ch. 73, art. 5)

SLED regulation establishing the State DNA Database, defining 'sample', 'subject', 'jurisdictional agency' and 'DNA testing/typing'. Jurisdictional agencies obtain collection kits from SLED at no charge but bear all shipment and transportation costs; SLED bears the cost of testing and analysis. Completed kits are received by the SLED DNA Database Section. Much of the operative detail is delegated to the SLED DNA Database Operating Policies and Procedures, which are not part of the published regulation.
