US: Rapid DNA Act of 2017 (HR 510, P.L. 115-50, 2017)

Directed the FBI Director to issue standards and procedures for Rapid DNA instruments and amended §§ 210303(a) and 210304(b)(2) of the DNA Identification Act of 1994 and §§ 3-4 of the DNA Analysis Backlog Elimination Act (42 U.S.C. 14131, 14132, 14135a, 14135b; now 34 U.S.C. 12591, 12592) to let criminal-justice agencies use FBI-approved Rapid DNA instruments and include the resulting analyses in CODIS.
