Core Database
Regulation
Oregon State Police rules for DNA profiling of convicted offenders. Blood drawn under ORS 137.076, 161.325, 419C.473 or 181.085 must be collected in a purple-stoppered EDTA vacutainer, labelled with name and SID number, refrigerated, and delivered within seven days to the OSP Crime Lab DNA Profiling Unit; buccal samples go on preservation media per OSP protocols. Contributors may inspect their records on a witnessed written request, and may challenge a profile using an independent laboratory result at their own expense, with a discrepancy more than twice the Crime Laboratory's match criteria triggering a supervised redraw.
