Core Database Regulation

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation rules for the OSBI Laboratory, in six subchapters and 21 sections: general provisions; collection and submission of DNA samples from the Department of Corrections; collection and submission of forensic evidence for DNA profiling, including notification of parties when a potential database match occurs; analysis of state DNA offender databank samples; removal of DNA records from the state database; and general rules for submission of evidence. Offender samples must be delivered in person or by mail within ten days of collection to the OSBI Forensic Science Center in Edmond, the CODIS laboratory supplies the kits, and only one offender may be processed at a time.
