MT: An Act Defining ‘Fingerprints’ and Expanding the Group Subject to DNA Testing (SB 112, Ch. 147, L. 1999)

Defined 'fingerprints' for purposes of the Criminal Justice Information Act, expanded the group of persons subject to Montana's DNA testing law, and defined terms used in that law. Amended MCA §§ 44-5-103, 44-6-101, 44-6-102, 44-6-103, 46-18-202, and 46-23-215, adding the youth offender provision (cross-referencing § 41-5-1502) and DNA collection upon order of a sentencing judge. 56th Legislature; immediate effective date with retroactive applicability.
