MI: DNA Profiling System rules (Mich. Admin. Code R 28.5051 – R 28.5059)

Michigan State Police Forensic Science Division rules promulgated under 1990 PA 250 (MCL 28.173) to implement the DNA Identification Profiling System Act. Nine rules cover definitions, applicability to offenders arrested or convicted of qualifying offenses, responsibility for collecting samples, collection procedures, profile record storage and access, privacy protection, authorized use, disposal of samples and profiles, and the effect of noncompliance.
