RI: DNA Detection of Felony Offenders (S 187, P.L. 2001, ch. 42, 2001)

Expanded Massachusetts DNA collection from an enumerated-offense scheme to an all-felony mandate by amending G.L. c. 22E § 3 so that any person convicted of an offense punishable by state prison (all felonies), and any person adjudicated a youthful offender for such an offense, must submit a DNA sample within one year; applied retroactively to persons incarcerated, on probation, or on parole on the effective date.
