Enacted new 17-A MRSA § 259-A (Solicitation of a child to commit a prohibited act) and added it to the 25 MRSA § 1574(5) list of DNA-qualifying offenses, so that persons convicted of that crime on or after October 1, 2012 must submit a DNA sample; also added § 259-A to sex-offender registration requirements. Emergency act, PL 2011, c. 597 (LD 1673); effective April 6, 2012.
