Revised Louisiana's DNA sample collection procedures by amending R.S. 15:609(B)(1), (C) and 15:610, specifying that persons convicted of a felony or other specified offense have a sample drawn on intake to a prison, jail, or detention facility (or immediately after sentencing if already confined, or as a condition of a non-confinement sentence), that samples from arrested or confined persons be taken at booking or the place of confinement, and that the sample plus booking fingerprints be delivered to the state police.
