Amended AS 44.41.035(b) to add persons arrested for a crime against a person or a felony under AS 11 or AS 28.35 to the categories subject to the DNA registration system, establishing pre-conviction arrestee DNA collection in Alaska for the first time (rather than collecting only from convicted offenders, adjudicated delinquents, and registered sex offenders); added expungement procedures for arrestees released without charge or whose charges are dismissed, and required arrestee and offender samples to be processed within 90 days. This omnibus act also revised sex offender registration, bail, and prosecution time limits. Ch. 24 SLA 2007; DNA provisions effective July 1, 2007 (90-day processing rule effective July 1, 2009).
