OH: An Act Further Amending DNA Collection Provisions (HB 526, 1998)

Expanded DNA-collection triggers for adults and juveniles (amending R.C. 2901.07 and 2151.315): required a DNA specimen when a conviction or delinquency adjudication arises from the same facts and act as a previously dismissed or amended charge of aggravated murder, murder, kidnapping, or aggravated burglary (in addition to the sex offenses already covered), and extended juvenile collection to children committed to schools, camps, institutions, or other facilities for delinquent children, with specimens forwarded to BCI within 15 days. Effective September 1, 1998.
