Created Section 943.325, Florida Statutes, establishing Florida's DNA database for sex offenders; required any person convicted on or after January 1, 1990 of a sexual battery offense (ch. 794) or a lewd/lascivious conduct offense (ch. 800) to submit two blood specimens upon conviction for DNA analysis, and directed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to establish and maintain the statewide DNA database, with results released only to criminal justice agencies and supporting documentation exempt from public records. Ch. 89-335, Laws of Florida. Effective January 1, 1990.
