OK: An Act Adding Rapid DNA, Tribal Police, and Auto-Expungement Provisions (SB 184, Laws 2019, c. 374, 2019)

Amended 22 O.S. § 210 and 74 O.S. § 150.27a to authorize Rapid DNA technology at jails, detention facilities, and tribal booking facilities — requiring the Rapid DNA sample to be discarded once the identification-matching process concludes and barring its retention or storage — broadened authorized collectors to trained medical personnel, law enforcement, and tribal police (or their contractors), added provision of a sample as a plea-agreement condition, and made unauthorized disclosure or tampering a misdemeanor. Laws 2019, c. 374; effective November 1, 2019. (The automatic-expungement provision was created by the 2016 act, not this one.)
